Arkadium: She is Alive and Kicking!

Welcome back to another wonderful snippet into the Arkadi-Verse,  Heroes! I pray that your day has been absolutely astonishing as it is productive!

I truly pray that you are all doing great and that all is well, and those that are feeling down… Well, I pray that this temporary storm is lifted from your life, that your strength is manifested to help yourself up and others.

It's not over until you are accomplished. The choice is yours! Don’t get bogged down with things that are beyond our control. 

The world of Arkadium looks bleak, but no, the streets are alive, she is alive, and thriving. The night lights up with a fever of brilliance as each street lamp washes away the darkness with cones of radiance. The arteries of her vast highways and bridges are blackened with the blight of criminals, citizens, and visitors trying to scurry away towards their destinations as they are bathed in the red and white lights of traffic. The traffic is that of a pulse speeding up and slowing down of the vehicular cells that flow through those arteries with the routine of daily life, and the repetition of the struggles faced head on. The hustle and bustle of life keeps going on, despite the hurdles that get in the way. These obstacles are temporary, but to those facing them, well, it seems like an eternity of woe and misery. However, they are nothing compared to the antagonists that get in the way and add to the strife of this amazing city. Arkadium does not sleep.  

One really has to wonder… Why are the streets so alive? Why are there so many diseases plaguing the streets? How are there viruses and malignant tumors thriving on her asphalt flesh? Is there a treatment, a plan of action, or a cure?

The cure… Well, that lies within our champions: Zig-zag, Märlük, Kalina, and the other Guardians of Arkadium. Märlük, a young child orphaned by the cancer that writhes within the city's veins eating away at her core. This will be a story that evolves a boy into a man, and a man into a champion that will vanquish the evil that lies within to avenge his parent's death. He will be the heroic surgeon that cuts this cancer away. Märlük the Street Avenger!
