What is an Indigo Boy?

Hello, happy day, and welcome back to another wonderful snippet into the Arkadi-Verse, Heroes! I pray that your day has been absolutely astonishing as it is productive!

No matter what it is, or what you feel is holding you back, please know that you are enough. You are amazing, and whatever gift you have been blessed with, please, share it with the world!

How do you feel about sidekicks? I have really been thinking about the idea of sidekicks, just the mere thought of a companion and assistant to our protagonist(s). I completely understand that some view them in a negative light. However, as I have been reflecting on them, I see that they fulfill the point of view of a younger audience, how they follow along their heroes' adventures.

I like the idea of creating them to be the torchbearers of our iconic heroes, in case something befalls our main character(s). I also like the idea of a sense of family, brotherhood, the building of trust, and companionship. The notion of teaching by experience, and the level of reflection. So, I am gearing up to introduce Indigo Boy in later issues of the Marluk:The Street Avenger. A young man inspired by Märlük decides to take matters into his own hands, so he dresses up as a vigilante, runs into danger without guidance, and he gets himself hurt. Although he gets into trouble, his tenacity to make a difference speaks volumes to where Marluk will take an interest in guiding the young-man, and teaching him the ropes. Märlük knows that if he tries to stop him, Indigo Boy will find a way, so why fight it. Allow him to grow up on the pages as he furthers the story with his journey.

Märlük is getting ready to fight for freedom, justice, and to protect the pursuit of happiness. The Arkadium citizens just want to survive, and here we have a hero that is selfless to recognize this vision… He wants those same ideals to bare fruit.
