What is an Indigo Boy?

Vanadium Comics Presents: Sidekicks Part 1.25

Hello, happy day, and welcome back to another wonderful snippet into the Arkadi-Verse, Heroes! I pray that your day has been absolutely astonishing as it is productive!

No matter what it is, or what you feel is holding you back, please know that you are enough. You are amazing, and whatever gift you have been blessed with, please, share it with the world!

Yes, Heroes, how are you? We have made it to another amazing day, and week. We were sharing the subject of having a sidekick and/or sidekicks. In the creation of Indigo Boy, I have been reflecting on the steps of the process. Creating a voice, exposition, interaction, costume, history, and life experiences that the character is learning from, these are the processes of character development. The same depth of exposition and character development that goes into creating a protagonist should go into creating those characters that will assist to carry the narrative.

I believe that as a writer, creator, artist, and cartoonist, I have a responsibility that must take place. A story feels cheap when a corner is cut, and a skipped step is taken when throwing in a random character without development or purpose. These choices leave us as the audience wanting more, or talking about what is needed to round out the characters. This tends to cause a loss of engagement and readership. With that being said, Vanadium Comics thrives on creating strong narrative within a sequential medium. Therefore, Indigo Boy has a backstory, personality, his own voice, and will not be thrown in randomly without a purpose. Indigo Boy will also have his story shared within the books, so that you can get to know him better, see his struggles as a teen, and also witness his development as a hero. He is a gifted youngman willing to learn, he doesn’t have any powers, but he wants to train. He pushes himself to the limit, and we as the audience will see the process. However, what good is he? If Marluk isn't developed first.

Right now, the story is being developed for the Street Avenger, and I am having a blast building the world. I pray that this story and product can be shared with you soon. I am planning to do the work for the first issue myself, but you will then see more names added to the projects. This is a process, and this project is one of love. I appreciate each and everyone of you for clicking, and reading this process.

So, stay tuned. Vanadium Comics brings you a universe with stories that are Stronger Than Steel! Until next time. Comment and keep in touch, we want to hear from you because you are the reason why we create what we create. Wishing you all the best. Thank you so much!
