Story Elements for Marluk: The Street Avenger

Hello, happy day, and welcome back to another wonderful snippet into the Arkadi-Verse, Heroes! I pray that your day has been absolutely astonishing as it is productive!
No matter what it is, or what you feel is holding you back, please know that you are enough. You are amazing, and whatever gift you have been blessed with, please, share it with the world!
Yoooooo! What an amazing and beautiful day it is, and I am grateful to the Lord for this spectacular ride. I am so appreciative of the gift of my talents to create, to be able to evoke conversations through the art of storytelling, and through the passion of utilizing the vehicle of art. I pray that these newsletters produce the imagery of what is being expressed, and the work is building up as I write the proposed scripts for the upcoming comics.
Marluk: The Street Avenger is a layered gift of reality through the vehicle of superhero fantasy. Just because the setting is fictional, that doesn’t mean that the purported life stories of the characters are less real. The goal is to have those that are afflicted to read the work, and hopefully, they seek the help they need as they relate to a character that is going through it. Mental health, poverty, homelessness, addiction, crime, theft, and loss of life are all serious issues one deals with in life. How does one pull out of this darkness? Who will be the beacon of hope? How can I pray? Do I have the faith to believe in a higher power? AM I alone? Why do I feel this way? These are the questions one may have while dealing with such emotional distresses, however, this is a minimal survey of what they may be.
I want to invoke these topics within the vehicle of a superhero comic book. I want the audience and consumer to feel some type of empathy within the pages. Can you relate? As I write the stories, I am actually asking myself these questions. Why, to draft a story with weight and some type of teeth to keep you engaged. Yes, Marluk is a street level story, but using the inspirations from past storytellers; stories need an underlying theme, and the plot pushes the development of the pace, and the denouement needs to be of substance.
Marluk will touch on a lot of issues between the psyche of certain characters. Leroy is the urban griot that will be the voice, but the mentor of the Arkadi-Verse within Marluk: The Street Avenger. Leroy also is the father figure that is protecting a child that has been orphaned out in the streets, and he has to make sure that both of them must live within a community where a killer is on the loose, and how will they survive? Leroy is a veteran, but he feels shunned, since after the war, he did not feel welcomed back by the citizens. His friends paid with their lives for the freedom of the nation, the government is slow to give the vets the care they deserve, and the politicians filibuster over their payments. Leroy wants to live off the grid, and these are some of the issues that will be handled within the comic.
