A Glimmer of Hope Amidst the Darkness

Their presence has been polarizing. Some hail them as heroes filling the void left by an overstretched police force, while others, including Commissioner Rowland, warn against the dangers of vigilante justice. “Their actions, though well-intentioned, undermine the rule of law,” Rowland stated. “We cannot condone their methods.”

Despite the controversy, there’s no denying the impact this trio has had. In just a few weeks, they’ve dismantled several drug distribution points, rescued hostages, and disrupted recruitment efforts by the Sons of Crete. The Retri-Butcher has even been seen collaborating with Detective Hiroshi Miike, a seasoned APD investigator, suggesting a potential, albeit unofficial, alliance with law enforcement.

But for all their success, the battle is far from over. Spores continue to flood the streets, and the Sons of Crete show no signs of retreating. “This is a war,” said one anonymous APD officer. “And wars are never won overnight.”
